ArcelorMittal presented the ZHyRON project at a major industrial innovation event held last May in Avilés.

ZHyRON strengthened its visibility within the European innovation community through its presence at the ArcelorMittal-CYTED Forum 2025, held in May 2025 in Avilés. The event gathered around 300 experts to discuss the future of industry, with a strong focus on sustainability, digital transformation, and circular production models.

As part of the programme, AMIII presented a poster outlining the main objectives and expected impacts of the ZHyRON project. This contribution provided an opportunity to showcase how ZHyRON is advancing the recycling of steelmaking by-products using green hydrogen, positioning the project within ongoing efforts to support more sustainable industrial processes.

Participation in the Forum enabled ZHyRON to reach a broad community of industry stakeholders, researchers, and institutional representatives, creating opportunities for dialogue and knowledge exchange. By presenting its vision and technical approach to an international audience, the project contributed to the wider discussion on circularity in the steel sector.

This activity reflects ZHyRON’s commitment to sharing progress openly and engaging with relevant stakeholders as work advances. The project will continue to participate in sectoral events and provide regular updates as results further develop.
